Where you actually stand

No Student Dental Plan? You Still Have Options

Anderson is a private career college, and it does not run a student health and dental plan the way the public colleges and universities do. If you have been searching for your student coverage and coming up empty, that is why.

That does not mean you are stuck. Most Anderson students fall into one of three groups, and each has a way forward.

You have a family or employer plan

Bring the card. We direct bill most major insurers, so you do not pay upfront for covered treatment.

You qualify for a government programme

We accept the Canadian Dental Care Plan and refugee coverage through the IFHP, and we will check your eligibility with you.

You are paying yourself

We quote the cost before any treatment begins and offer payment plans so it does not land in one bill.

Clear pricing

What Care Costs and How to Spread It

We do not start work without telling you the price. At your first visit we look at what is going on, explain the options, and give you the cost of each one. You decide from there, with no pressure and nothing added later.

The cost comes first

You will know what every option costs before you agree to anything.

Payment plans from $190 a month

At 0% interest, so treatment can be spread over time rather than paid at once.

Direct billing where you have coverage

If you carry any private plan, we submit the claim so you are not out of pocket for covered work.

Ask before you book

Call us and we will walk through what applies to your situation.

Newcomers

If You Are New to Canada

Many Anderson students are building a career in a new country, and dental coverage is rarely the first thing anyone sorts out. Here is where you stand.

The Canadian Dental Care Plan covers residents who meet income and residency rules. Permanent residents may qualify. If you are here on a study or work permit, you usually will not, so please do not count on it. We accept the plan and we will check your eligibility rather than guess.

If you came to Canada as a refugee or asylum claimant, we accept coverage through the IFHP for the services it covers. Bring whatever documents you have and we will look at them with you.

For Dental Assisting Students

If you are training as an Intra-Oral Dental Assistant at the North York campus, you already know more about teeth than most of our patients. You also know that the programme runs fifty-one weeks and includes a four-week practicum in a working dental office.

We are a busy family clinic on Finch Avenue with four dentists and an orthodontist, so there is plenty to see. If you are looking for a placement, get in touch and we will tell you honestly whether we can host one. And when you need a checkup of your own, you will find we explain things the way you are being taught to.

Common Questions

Anderson is a private career college and, unlike the public colleges and universities, it does not run a student health and dental plan. If you have been looking for your student coverage without finding it, that is why. You still have options, and we will go through them with you.

Yes. Plenty of our patients pay for their own care. We tell you what treatment costs before we begin, and we offer payment plans so a larger bill can be spread out.

It depends on what you need, so we look first and quote before we start. You will know the cost of every option before you agree to anything. Call us and we will tell you what to expect.

Yes. Plans start at $190 a month at 0% interest, so treatment can be spread over time rather than paid in one go. Ask us when you book.

The CDCP covers residents who meet income and residency rules. Permanent residents may qualify, and students on a study permit usually do not. We accept the plan and we will check your eligibility with you rather than leave you guessing.

If you came as a refugee or asylum claimant, we accept IFHP coverage for the services it covers. If you have a family or employer plan, we direct bill most insurers. If you have neither, we quote costs upfront and offer payment plans. Bring what documents you have and we will work it out together.

Yes. Dr. Arash Poursattar is an orthodontist board certified in Canada and the United States, and a certified Invisalign provider. He treats children, teens, and adults, with braces or clear aligners.

We are at 261 Finch Avenue West, about ten minutes from the campus at 5734 Yonge Street. Take the Finch West bus a few stops westbound, or drive and use the free parking at the door.
