The Same Street as Your Campus
Newnham Campus sits at 1750 Finch Avenue East. We are at 261 Finch Avenue West. The campus was originally called Finch Campus, and the street still connects us, about fifteen to twenty minutes apart.
Getting here is simple. Take the Finch East bus westbound to Finch Station and we are a short walk away. If you drive, there is free parking at the door. We are open six days a week, Tuesday through Sunday, so a visit can sit around class, placement, or a shift.
If you study at Seneca York, your campus sits on York University’s Keele campus. That is a longer trip west, though still straightforward by TTC, and we see students from there too. Our York University students page covers getting here from that side of the city.

Understanding Your Seneca Student Dental Insurance
If you are a full-time domestic student at Seneca, you are already covered. Enrolment happens automatically when you register, and the plan is compulsory unless you opt out with proof of comparable coverage.
The plan is run by the Seneca Student Federation together with ACL Student Benefits, and dental claims are processed by ClaimSecure. Your coverage year runs September 1 to August 31. You may see it called Seneca College dental insurance, because the school was Seneca College until it became Seneca Polytechnic. It is the same plan and the same coverage, whichever name you searched for.
Simple to use
How to Use Your Plan at Our Clinic
Bring your student card
Show us your Seneca student card when you arrive and we will take it from there.
We check your coverage
We look up what your plan pays for before any treatment begins.
You know your cost first
We tell you what, if anything, you will pay before we start.
We submit the claim
We send the paperwork to ClaimSecure so you deal with less of it.
Finding your certificate number
Your certificate number is the letter N followed by your nine-digit Seneca student number, for example N012345678. Bring it along with your student card and we can verify your coverage quickly.
What is covered
What Your Seneca Plan Covers
Your plan is built around the everyday care that keeps teeth healthy. Covered care generally includes:
- Exams and diagnosis
- Cleanings and scaling
- Dental X-rays
- Fillings
- Extractions
- Emergency exams
Exact percentages and annual limits are set by your plan and can change from year to year, so we confirm your benefits before treatment rather than guess. Cosmetic work such as whitening and veneers is not usually covered, though we offer payment plans starting at $190 a month at 0% interest.
For your household
Adding Your Family to Your Plan
Seneca’s plan includes a Family Add-On, so you can put your spouse or partner and your children on the same coverage. If your family is on your plan, we can see all of you at one clinic.
Two things to know before you plan around it. The add-on costs extra, on top of your student health and dental fee. And it can usually only be arranged in the semester you start, so if you want it, sort it out early through the Student Federation or the WeSpeakStudent portal. We treat every age, including young children.
Studying from abroad
International Students at Seneca
International students at Seneca pay a separate mandatory health insurance fee that stands in for provincial coverage. It covers doctor and hospital services, and it covers dental care that becomes medically necessary in hospital. That is not the same as routine dental care, so do not assume a cleaning or a filling is included.
If you are an international student, check with the Seneca Student Federation about what dental coverage you actually carry before you book. Bring whatever documentation you have and we will look at it with you. Most international students are not eligible for the Canadian Dental Care Plan.

ThanksPosted on Google Pouya Ahmadi GharejlooTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had an excellent experience at Pearl Dental Group! Dr. Pouria is an outstanding dentist—professional, knowledgeable, incredibly kind, and always welcoming. He takes the time to explain every step of the treatment and makes every visit comfortable and stress-free. The other dentists are also fantastic, and the entire team is amazing. The dental assistants and the front desk staff are always friendly, respectful, and very organized. Their customer service is exceptional, and they truly care about their patients. Another huge benefit is that they accept the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP), making quality dental care much more accessible. I highly recommend Pearl Dental Group to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dental clinic. I’m so happy I found my dentist here and couldn’t be more satisfied with the care I’ve received!

Common Questions
How do I use my Seneca dental insurance at your clinic?
Bring your Seneca student card and your certificate number, which is the letter N followed by your nine-digit student number. We check what your plan covers, tell you what you would pay before treatment starts, and submit the claim to ClaimSecure for you.
Am I automatically enrolled in the plan?
If you are a full-time domestic student in an approved postsecondary or post-diploma program, yes. Enrolment happens when you register and the plan is compulsory unless you opt out with proof of comparable coverage.
Can I add my spouse and children to my plan?
Yes. Seneca offers a Family Add-On for a spouse or partner and children. It costs extra and can usually only be arranged in the semester you start, so arrange it early through the Student Federation or the WeSpeakStudent portal.
What does the Seneca student dental plan cover?
The plan covers everyday dental care, including exams, cleanings, X-rays, fillings, and extractions. Percentages and annual limits are set by the plan and can change each year, so we confirm your exact benefits before we begin.
Can I opt out of the Seneca health and dental plan?
Yes, if you already have comparable coverage, for example through a parent, a spouse, or an employer. The opt-out window is early in your first term and again each September, and it lasts for the full policy year, so check the Student Federation site for the current deadline.
Are international students covered for dental care?
International students pay a separate health insurance fee that covers doctor and hospital services, along with dental care that becomes medically necessary in hospital. Routine dental is a different matter, so check with the Student Federation about your coverage and bring what you have to your visit.
How far are you from Newnham Campus?
We are at 261 Finch Avenue West, about fifteen to twenty minutes from Newnham Campus at 1750 Finch Avenue East. Take the Finch East bus westbound to Finch Station and we are a short walk away, or drive and use the free parking.
Do you see students from Seneca@York?
Yes. Seneca@York sits on York University’s Keele campus, which is a longer trip than Newnham but straightforward by TTC. We see students from every Seneca campus, and our York University students page has more on getting here from that side of the city.
