Getting here

Two Subway Stops From Campus

CDI College’s North York campus is at 4950 Yonge Street, a short walk from both Sheppard-Yonge and North York Centre stations. We are at 261 Finch Avenue West, in the Yonge and Finch area just west of the subway line.

Getting here without a car is simple. Ride the subway north to Finch Station, then take the Finch West bus a few stops. It is about fifteen minutes door to door. If you drive, there is free parking at the door, which is worth knowing in an area where parking usually is not free.

Start at the campus

Appointments That Fit Around Class and Work

Most people studying at CDI are doing it alongside a job, a family, or both. That is the point of a programme you can finish in months rather than years, and it is also why a dental appointment can be hard to place.

We are open Tuesday through Saturday, and on Sundays by appointment. We are closed Mondays only. Most dental offices in North York shut for the weekend, so if the only time you can get away is a Saturday morning or a Sunday, that is exactly when we are here.

If something goes wrong mid-week and you are in pain, call us. We keep same day slots open every day we are open.

Clear pricing

What You Will Pay, and What You Will Know First

We do not begin work without telling you the price. At your first visit we look at what is going on, explain what each option involves, and give you the cost of every one. Nothing gets added afterwards.

The consultation is free

Finding out where you stand costs you nothing, so there is no reason to put it off.

Payment plans from $190 a month

At 0% interest, if treatment runs beyond what you can pay at once.

Direct billing where you have coverage

We submit the claim so you are not out of pocket for covered work.

Check before you assume

Coverage You Might Already Have

CDI does not run a student health and dental plan the way the public colleges do, so there is no student card to bring. That does not mean you have no coverage.

Plenty of our patients are working while they study, which means an employer plan. Others are on a spouse’s plan or still on a parent’s. Any of those can be billed directly, so you do not pay upfront for covered treatment. Bring the card and we will check it before anything begins.

If you have none of those, you may qualify for the Canadian Dental Care Plan, which we accept.

Newcomers

If You Are New to Canada

North York is one of the most diverse parts of Toronto, and a large share of CDI’s students arrived in Canada recently. Dental coverage is rarely the first thing anyone sorts out after moving.

If you are a permanent resident who meets the income rules, the Canadian Dental Care Plan may cover you, and we accept it. If you are here on a study or work permit, you usually will not qualify, so it is better to know that now than to find out at the desk.

If you came as a refugee or asylum claimant, we accept coverage through the IFHP for the services it covers. And we speak Farsi as well as English, which for some of our patients makes the whole visit easier.

Common Questions

CDI is a private career college, and it does not run a student health and dental plan the way the public colleges and universities do. There is no student card to bring. What you may have instead is an employer, spouse, or family plan, or eligibility for a government programme, and we will check whichever applies to you.

Yes. Many of our patients pay for their own care. We tell you the cost before we begin, and payment plans are available if treatment runs beyond what you can cover at once.

The consultation is free, so the first conversation costs you nothing. If you need treatment, we quote it before we start and you decide from there.

We are open Tuesday through Saturday until 6pm, and Sundays until 4pm by appointment. We are closed Mondays only. Weekend appointments are the reason many working students choose us, since most dental offices in North York close on Saturday and Sunday.

The CDCP covers residents who meet income and residency rules. Permanent residents may qualify, and people here on a study or work permit usually do not. We accept the plan and we will check your eligibility with you rather than leave you guessing.

Bring whatever documents you have and we will look at them with you. If you came as a refugee or asylum claimant, we accept IFHP coverage for the services it covers. We also speak Farsi as well as English.

Yes. Dr. Arash Poursattar is an orthodontist board certified in Canada and the United States, and a certified Invisalign provider. He treats children, teens, and adults, with braces or clear aligners.

From 4950 Yonge Street, walk to Sheppard-Yonge or North York Centre station, ride north to Finch, then take the Finch West bus a few stops to Bathurst. It is about fifteen minutes in total. If you drive, there is free parking at the door.
